Porcelain doll tragic with macabre beauty
Crafted delicately from the saddest of stones
Soft timber eyes cradling within the eye sockets
Singing a tale of seams ripped apart
Tragically destroyed by the black morbid heart

Sculpted beautifully by the finest of artists
Features delicately chiseled with great care
Beauty the foremost weapon of his hand
Using his tools to create a most beautiful doll
Unawares to the dark gift he had bestowed

Tenderly caressing his beautiful child
Stroking the gentle hair upon her head
Admiring the beauty created by his hands
Her name Aurora, a name for the most beautiful star
Blind to the tragedy he had sculpted

A very senior man ‘twas he
Living a life of loneliness and pain
Unknown to the embrace of love
Directing his love into his creations

For as a child, his mother fell under a spell
The spell of the grape vines of life
Every night a new abrasion from her addiction
Bleeding out with crimson dejection

His father under a spell deeper than hers
Distorting reality with each blink of an eye
Frustration taken out on his only son
Being of parental stature nevermore

Depression his foremost friend
Being the only comfort to ever feel
Stabbing deeply with its numbing pins
Indifference to pervade his nature evermore

Life of solitude gifted to his weak soul
Out casted to the slums of society
Alas, love to never be found in humanity
But within the indifference of stone

Crafting each porcelain doll with precise skill
Love poured into each in great amounts
Indifferent stone being his greatest love
Alas, never returning the love he gave it

Wishing for his last creature to be worldly
To gain him the love he always longed for
Alas, this wish never to be granted
For death to be his new close friend evermore

Death stealing his fatherly nature from Aurora
Whisking him off to place where love is granted
To never feel the indifference of society
The apathy within stone

Alas, Aurora left all to her lonesome
Unawares of what is to become of her
Solitude pervading the room she resides
Unknown to the love of her great sculptor

Other dolls green with great jealously
For the most beautiful ‘twas she
Torturing her with each flick of their tongue
To fill their sadistic desire for her pain

No heroic figure in sight
For all were indifferent to her pain
Cutting deeper with their sharp tongues
Increasing the pain felt by her heart

Depression pervading her delicate body
Torn within for the desire for love
And the stabbing pain of indifference
Slowly pulling her apart at the seams

Alas, for Aurora ‘twas only a porcelain doll
Able to only take so much depression
Slowly the stone began to crack with indifference
Displaying the torn nature of her delicate soul

Each day new cracks appeared within her
With the growing control of depression
Losing herself to the pain of apathy
Unable to control her mind evermore

Pain cutting into her like razors on a wrist
Bleeding out the crimson pain felt by she
Indifference pervading her with each drop
Tearing her soul slowly into two

A heart to be blackened by the pain of neglect
Winter the foremost season within it
Snow falling with great apathy
Stabbing deeply into the fragile heart

Heart lost to the comfort of apathetic snow
Soothing the pain with its anesthetic pins
Permanently locking her within the indifference of winter
The apathy in stone

Crack crack crack went the beautiful Aurora
Tearing apart at her soul’s seams
Lost to the battle of depression
To feel the pain of indifference nevermore
